Chlorinated Solvents Contamination of Groundwater, Albuquerque, New Mexico
M&A was retained by the State of New Mexico in a natural resource damages case concerning chemical contamination of an aquifer used for public drinking water. M&A examined the chemical handling, use, storage and disposal methods over 50 years by different owners and operators of a manufacturing facility with changing industrial operations and compared them with evolving industry standards, regulations, and government and corporate policies to provide opinions on whether the owners and operators met a reasonable standard of care.
